Work experience began at age of 12 as cashier in family business. At age 16 did bookkeeping for local door-company on work-release time within high school accounting and FBLA program. Served as legal secretary and bookkeeper to local attorney in New Mexico at age 17. Worked during summer at local car dealership as receptionist and assisted with factory warranty claims.
In college worked on first word processors that came out in news retrieval/transcription process. Worked at Public Service Company of New Mexico Power Plant in Waterflow, NM until 1984. Worked as clerical assistant for start-up department that handled new construction of Unit 4, and water management system. Designed spreadsheet for shipping management for chemical plant records, documentation on construction of each component of Unit 4 and water management system.
